Rate: To £550 per day (negotiable)
Duration: 6 months initial

Description:
Our client, a top-tier City investment bank, is looking for a Configuration Project Manager to will be responsible for creating and running a project to select and pilot an auto discovery and dependency mapping toolset, and running the subsequent implementation.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Create a virtual project team bringing together the various stakeholders across DB
- Create a terms of reference and project plan for tool selection and tool implementation
- Create a requirements document for discovery and dependency mapping
- Complete a market scan and pre-selection
- Complete a pilot
- Make a recommendation
- Work with procurement to complete tool negotiation and purchase
- Manage the implementation of the toolset as per the agreed scope
- Input to the design of a reconciliation tool with the central CMDB
Experience:
- Broad ITIL / best practice service context
- Good practical experience of end to end Configuration management and good overview of Production Management overall
- Excellent experience of IT package selection and implementation
- Previous practical experience of auto discovery and dependency mapping tool selection and implementation
- Expertise managing relationships across multiple disciplines and time zones
- Experience of SOA and innovative service oriented and business process practices
- Consultancy background preferred
