Java Developer - New Media Company - London : £30k to £35k : 6 Month Contract - Excellent perks!
An exciting Market leading and innovative new media company are looking for an experienced Java Developer to hire in their London (UK) Games Development Studio. This is a full-time position and will initially be on a 6 month fixed term contract; please apply only if you can work in London.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
We•re looking for a social, hard-working person who enjoys working in a team with other people and is passionate and dedicated about his/her work. The ideal candidate will be strongly skilled in, and have had previous professional experience with:
• Java, specifically server side experience
• Multiuser Games/Applications
• SQL
• OOP (Object Oriented Programming)
• Using a revision control system (such as SVN)
• Collaborating with internal and external developers
Professional experience with the following is desirable but not essential:
• Server Administration, specifically multiuser servers such as Smartfox
• Database design
• Hardware design including Server Clustering
• Network Communication/Encryption/Security
• TRAC
• AMF/PHP
• Acti on script 3
DUTIES
Your primary responsibilities will be:
• Develop and maintain Java applications
• Develop and maintain SQL Databases
• Server Administration
• Document all work for both internal and external use
