Business Development Manager - Construction & Property Consultancy

A unique opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join a successful, medium-sized construction and property consultancy in Central London.

The Company

The Business Development Manager will join a thriving company with 3 UK and 4 international offices. They provide comprehensive services: Cost management, Project management, Hotels consultancy, Mechanical & Electrical services solutions, Building surveying, Construction safety services, Facilities management, and Strategic advisory services.

They work across many sectors including Education, Health, Hotels & Leisure, Retail, Life sciences & Tech, Master-planning & Regeneration, Offices & Residential.

The Role

The Business Development Manager will:

* Identify new clients in accordance with business strategy
* Establish a robust pipeline of new opportunities.
* Research and build relationships with new clients.

* Present new products/services and cross selling opportunities to existing relationships
* Arrange and attend client social events to build existing relationships.
* Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs and establish market trends & latest developments.

* Attend and identify industry functions (networking, events and conferences).
* Establish and maintain a thorough understanding of the market, sectors, disciplines.
* Provide feedback and information on market and trends.

* Review current market sectors and identify key players and potential targets.
* Working as a team to ensure that prerequisites (i.e., prequalification for frameworks) are fulfilled within agreed timescales.
* Submit weekly and monthly activity reports, including performance in line with sales targets.

The Person

The successful Business Development Manager must have:

* Construction consultancy knowledge is essential.
* Working knowledge of the roles of project managers, quantity surveyors and building surveyors.
* Ability to easily build rapport with individuals.
* Proven track record of new business acquisition and working with sales targets.
* A consistently professional and respectable manner.
