Business Analyst and Product Owner

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst and Product Owner to work with business and technology teams to deliver digital products, process improvements and business transformation projects.
The role involves gathering business requirements, working with stakeholders, defining product needs, managing the product backlog, writing user stories and acceptance criteria, supporting Agile delivery, and ensuring solutions meet business objectives.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in business analysis, product ownership, stakeholder management, Agile/Scrum, process mapping, gap analysis, UAT, backlog refinement and change management.
You will work closely with senior stakeholders, developers, QA teams, UX designers and delivery managers to translate business needs into clear, deliverable requirements.
Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, Power BI, SQL, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Dynamics 365 or similar platforms would be beneficial.
Experience in sectors such as financial services, insurance, healthcare, government, retail, technology or consulting would be advantageous.
For permanent roles, candidates should ideally have 5+ years of business analysis or product ownership experience.
For contract roles, candidates should ideally have 7+ years of experience and be able to work independently in fast-paced client environments.
This role is suitable for candidates based in New York or other U.S. states and can be offered on a permanent, W2 contract, 1099 or C2C basis depending on client requirements.
