Construction / Project Manager
Location: Bishop's Stortford (Projects based at Stansted Airport)
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 + Package
Start: ASAP
Role Summary
We are recruiting for a Construction / Project Manager to oversee multiple small works, reactive refurbishment, and fit-out projects within Stansted Airport.
This is a hands-on role managing several live projects simultaneously, typically valued between £50k - £1M, ensuring delivery from initial planning through to completion.
Key Responsibilities

Manage multiple refurbishment and fit-out projects within a live airport environment
*
Oversee projects from pre-construction through to handover
*
Produce and review RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements)
*
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams
*
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards
*
Maintain strong health & safety compliance across all works
*
Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and airport authorities
*
Monitor progress, programme, and report on project performance
*
Manage procurement and site logistics in a live operational environment
Requirements
*
Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar Construction / Project Manager role
*
Proven experience managing small works, refurbishments, or fit-out projects
*
Experience working on multiple projects concurrently
*
Confident producing RAMS and managing H&S documentation
*
Strong organisational and communication skills
*
Ability to work in a fast-paced, reactive environment
*
Must be able to pass a DBS check
*
Experience working in live environments (airports, hospitals, etc.) beneficial
Qualifications

SMSTS or SSSTS (preferred)
*
CSCS Card
*
Relevant construction qualification (HNC/HND/Degree - desirable)
