CAD / Revit Design Engineer (M&E - Residential)
Location: Sittingbourne (Office-Based)
Salary: Up to £50,000 + Package
Type: Full-Time / Permanent
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
Role Overview
A CAD / Revit Design Engineer is required to join a growing M&E design team delivering residential building services projects.
This role will focus on producing accurate 2D drawings and coordinated 3D Revit models across mechanical and electrical systems, supporting projects from concept through to construction. The position suits someone with strong M&E knowledge and experience working on residential or high-rise developments.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce and develop 2D CAD drawings and 3D Revit MEP models
* Create coordinated layouts for HVAC, plumbing, power, lighting, and fire systems
* Update drawings in line with design changes and client requirements
* Assist with BIM coordination and clash detection across disciplines
* Ensure designs meet project specifications, regulations, and industry standards
* Generate schedules, technical documentation, and as-built drawings
* Support design engineers throughout project lifecycle
* Maintain drawing registers, revision control, and project documentation
* Attend coordination meetings where required
Requirements
* Proven experience in a CAD / Revit role within M&E or building services
* Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP
* Good understanding of mechanical systems (HVAC, pipework, ventilation, plumbing)
* Good understanding of electrical systems (power, lighting, containment, fire/security)
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and within a team
* Good communication skills
Desirable
* Experience working on residential / high-rise projects
* BIM coordination / clash detection experience
* Relevant qualification in building services, engineering, or construction
* Revit / BIM accreditation
