Location: Gerrards Cross / Buckinghamshire area
Salary: Up to £100,000 DOE

Strong Group are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to join an established M&E contractor.

The role will oversee multiple large residential projects from pre-construction through to completion. Current projects include schemes in Hackney and Oxford, typically ranging from 80 to 425 units.

The position is approximately 50% office based and 50% live sites, with no home working. You will report directly to the Head of Operations.

Key Responsibilities

* Oversee multiple mechanical projects from start to handover.
* Support Project Managers and Site Managers.
* Monitor programme, procurement, costs and resources.
* Attend site, client and progress meetings.
* Manage subcontractors, suppliers and specialist contractors.
* Identify technical, commercial and programme risks.
* Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
* Support labour and resource planning.

Technical & Design

Strong mechanical design and technical coordination experience is essential.

You will primarily review and coordinate designs produced by consultants and design teams, including:

* Mechanical drawings and specifications.
* Design coordination and technical queries.
* Clash and installation issue resolution.
* Technical submissions and equipment selection.
* Value engineering.
* Testing, commissioning and handover support.

Essential Experience

* Mechanical Contracts Manager, Senior Mechanical PM or similar.
* Strong mechanical building services background.
* Experience managing multiple projects.
* Mechanical design and coordination experience.
* Ability to read drawings and specifications.
* Strong commercial awareness.
* Experience managing site teams and subcontractors.
* Strong client-facing skills.
* Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

* HNC / HND / Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
* SMSTS / CSCS.
* AutoCAD, Revit or BIM exposure.
* NEC / JCT experience.
* Design & Build experience.
