FINTEC recruit is seeking A Quality Assurance Engineer for our client based in Cambridgeshire. This is a permanent position based in Cambridgeshire. Salary commensurate with experience. This is working for a leading electronics organisation where you will be ensuring all products are manufactured in accordance with procedures and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

* Ensure quality issues are investigated and traceability of components is maintained for Iso9001, ISO13485 and AS9100
* Quality Assurance inspection of a wide range of electronics, electrical and mechanical products to ISO9001, ISO13485 an AS9100 standards
* Be conversant with technical drawings, wiring schematics and test specifications
* Training, coaching of staff and monitoring shop floor inspections staff
* Supporting goods inward inspection process as required
* As a Quality Assurance Engineer you will be working closely with the management team relating to processes
* Responsible for tool and fixture calibration to required standards
* Carry out workplace audits, act on issues and complete reports
* Assist with management of environmental processes in accordance with ISO14001

Skills and Experience required for the Quality Assurance Engineer:

Essentials:

* 3 years minimum experience managing and coordinating Quality Assurance activities within an electronics manufacturing environment
* Have a working knowledge of ISO9001, ISO13485, AS9100
* Certified Auditor - such as BSI, Lloyds or other recognised bodies
* Previous experience of understanding soldering and electronics manufacture

Preferred

* Time served skilled electrician/electronics technician
* IPC trained/Certified
* Experience of creating and maintaining Quality system manuals & relevant processes and procedures
* Excellent attention to detail and good MS Office skills
* Ability to provide on the job training/coaching
* Good problem solving and quality report writing
* Understanding of component identification codes (resistors, capacitors, ICs etc)
* Understanding of Bare Board (PCB0 and suppliers and working on and resolving quality issues
