Role Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to join a well-established Mechanical & Electrical Design and Installation specialist operating at the top end of the commercial fit-out market.

This is a senior delivery role responsible for overseeing high-value electrical packages on fast-track CAT A & CAT B commercial fit-out projects across Central London for Blue Chip corporate clients.

The successful candidate must bring depth, stability, and a clear track record of managing large-scale electrical installations within demanding programme environments.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Commercial Management

*

Take full responsibility for delivery of electrical packages from pre-construction handover through to practical completion
*

Manage project programmes, ensuring works are delivered on time and within budget
*

Oversee cost control, variations, and commercial reporting
*

Attend progress meetings with clients, consultants and main contractors
*

Manage risk and ensure compliance with contractual obligations

Site & Team Leadership

*

Manage Electrical Project Managers, Site Managers and Supervisors
*

Oversee subcontractors and direct labour
*

Ensure strong H&S compliance across all projects
*

Monitor quality control and commissioning processes
*

Ensure smooth coordination with mechanical and wider M&E teams

Technical Oversight

*

Review drawings and specifications
*

Resolve technical and coordination issues
*

Work closely with design and pre-construction teams
*

Ensure compliance with BS7671 and all relevant regulations

Requirements

*

Proven experience as an Electrical Contracts Manager within M&E contracting
*

Strong commercial fit-out experience (CAT A & CAT B essential)
*

Experience managing electrical packages up to £40m
*

Strong exposure to Tier One contractors or equivalent
*

Stable career history with consistent progression
*

Clear electrical delivery background (not mixed estimating-only profiles)
*

Strong understanding of fast-track Central London projects
*

Excellent client-facing and leadership skills

Qualifications

*

Relevant electrical or building services qualification (HNC/HND/Degree preferred)
*

SMSTS
*

CSCS (Management level)
*

Strong working knowledge of electrical building services systems

Working Arrangements

Central London project-based role
*

Office base in Canary Wharf
*

Site presence expected throughout project lifecycle
*

Some flexibility may be offered depending on programme stage

This is not a remote-heavy position - strong site leadership presence is required.
