About the Company
Our client is a well-established specialist contractor operating within the façade, cladding remediation, and external envelope sector. With a strong pipeline of projects across the South West and wider UK, they are looking to expand their design team with Façade Designers at all levels - from junior/intermediate candidates with around 2 years' experience through to Senior Designers.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business delivering complex façade and cladding remediation schemes across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
The Role
The successful candidate will work closely with Design Managers, Project Managers, Commercial Teams, and site teams to deliver high-quality façade design solutions across multiple live projects.
The role offers hybrid/remote working with regular travel required to project sites across Bristol and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce detailed façade and cladding design drawings
* Carry out site surveys, inspections, and take accurate measurements/photos
* Develop and revise drawings based on surveyed information
* Liaise with internal teams to ensure designs are commercially viable and compliant
* Produce fabrication and construction drawings for procurement and installation
* Coordinate with manufacturers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders
* Respond to technical queries and resolve design-related issues
* Attend site and design meetings as required
* Ensure technical quality and compliance with specifications and manufacturer recommendations
* Assist with design coordination throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements
* 2+ years' experience within façade, cladding, rainscreen, or EWI design
* Open to junior, intermediate, and senior-level candidates
* Experience producing technical drawings within the construction industry
* Strong AutoCAD skills essential
* Revit, SketchUp, or 3D AutoCAD experience advantageous
* Understanding of façade systems, cladding remediation, and external envelopes
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Good communication and coordination skills
* Full UK driving licence preferred
* CSCS Card advantageous

Location & Travel
