The Role

Mechanical HVAC Estimator required to join a growing contractor specialising in air conditioning and ventilation projects across commercial and industrial sectors.

You will be responsible for pricing projects typically valued up to £1m, managing tenders from initial enquiry through to contract award and supporting the commercial handover to delivery teams.

Established mechanical contractor delivering design, installation, maintenance and repair of HVAC systems nationwide. Strong pipeline of secured work and continued growth within the commercial team.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for AC and ventilation projects up to £1m
*

Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation
*

Complete take-offs for HVAC plant, ductwork, pipework and associated services
*

Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations
*

Build accurate labour, plant and material costings
*

Identify value engineering opportunities
*

Prepare technical submissions and respond to tender queries
*

Liaise with design teams, suppliers and project managers
*

Support project handover

Requirements

*

Proven experience as a Mechanical / HVAC Estimator
*

Strong knowledge of air conditioning and ventilation systems
*

Experience pricing commercial and/or industrial projects
*

Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
*

Strong commercial and analytical skills
*

Competent with estimating software and Excel
