Role Overview

A growing building contractor based in Livingston is seeking a M&E Estimator to join their pre-construction team due to continued business growth.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates across a range of mechanical and electrical packages, supporting the delivery of projects across multiple sectors.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to work across varied projects while playing a key role in securing new business and ensuring cost-effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Analyse tender documents, drawings and specifications to produce accurate cost estimates

Prepare detailed M&E estimates covering both mechanical and electrical packages
*

Work closely with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
*

Develop project cost plans and tender submissions
*

Support the preparation of bid documentation and tender presentations
*

Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost optimisation
*

Maintain organised records of quotations, estimates and tender documentation
*

Collaborate with project and commercial teams during the tender process

Candidate Requirements

Proven experience as an M&E Estimator

Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services
*

Experience preparing tenders across multiple sectors

Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously

Strong analytical and numerical skills
*

Excellent communication and organisational skills
*

Experience using estimating software and spreadsheets
